On March 12, 2019, the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act was signed into law. The majority of the Crack Canyon, Mexican Mountain, San Rafael Reef and Sids Mountain Wilderness Study Areas were designated as wilderness areas. Any portions of WSAs that were not designated as wilderness were released from WSA status. Although you may still provide information for these WSAs through WildSNAP, please note that the information contained in the Site Guide is now outdated.
